The highest-ranking hand is a royal flush, which contains all of the same suit (clubs, hearts, diamonds, or spades) in one sequence. The next highest-ranking hand is four of a kind, which includes 4 cards of the same rank. A straight contains 5 consecutive cards of the same suit, and a three-of-a-kind has two identical pairs of cards.
